• Which course options are free/which course can I choose?

• Is the free self-study course only for internal Randstad employees, not Randstad talent?

The offering is for Randstad corporate employees.

• Can interns also register for the free self study course?

Interns can also register for the self-study courses. Interns are also Randstad employees who have a Randstad email address.

• Are there consequences for not learning

With a self-study course there are no consequences for not studying set out by the holding. It may be that your local HRBP or L&D department sets personal targets with you in order to be eligible for other courses. As we are making this opportunity available for everyone, we hope everyone that signs up makes the most of their time on the platform. Please note that with a self-study course you don’t get study support from EF.

• What happens if someone would like to participate but due to workload they have to pause it for a couple of weeks?

Not a problem, you can catch-up on your studies after a couple of weeks, the course will not be paused.

• Is there a limit of people?

No there is no limit of people/randstad employees for enrollment

• Is it possible to have a group session for English with only Randstad applicants, like a team of sales managers?

The courses on English Live are individual study paths. In this case we suggest making an appointment with the Randstad EF team ([email protected]) to discuss your specific needs so we can find a suitable solution.

• Is there a new assessment/test in order to know the improvement level after course completion?

EF evaluates progress within EF English Live using a combination of continuous and fixed-point assessments. Once enrolled, students are required to complete a placement test, after which they will be assigned their starting level. Students are continuously evaluated throughout the course as they complete the Self-study activities. If they complete the level and would like to receive a certificate, they can complete a level test.

• In terms of the testing and level of the student, is there an evaluation after 3-4 months?

• With the private lessons, will there be an assigned private tutor?

When booking a private lesson you can choose a teacher based on your availability or interest. This means you can book your lessons with the same teacher or switch every lesson.

• Which Other Languages are there?

You can sign up for the free self-study course in German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish. If you are interested in a more strategic course with a native teacher, you can contact the Randstad EF team by emailing to: [email protected]

• Regarding the Other Language group lessons, what options are there for the course dates?

The start of these courses depend on the volume of participants. If you are interested in following a Other Language Group course, please contact your HRBP so they can collect all the needs for your region.

• Are the lessons during the week? How long are the lessons?

The lessons are 80 minutes and take place during the week. The exact timing will be determined by you and your group's availability.

• Why is the assessment process different for Other Languages courses then for English courses?

Other Language courses are customized, they are centered around a student/group of students and one specific teacher. In order to match the right teacher to the student, we first need to assess their needs and availability, this is why the process is different.

• When someone is a real beginner French native who wants to start with a Dutch Language course, is that possible?

This is no problem, we can cater to all levels, from complete beginners to very advanced.

• How to register for the English Language course and Other Language course?

You can signup directly for the free self-study courses (English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Swedish ). After clicking the link and completing your account, you can start your studies immediately.

For strategic/paid English courses, you can sign up here. You will need to fill in the form including the operating company and cost code which are mandatory for the recharge to the opco. In case you are enrolling multiple people, EF can provide you with an excel so you do not have to fill in the form one by one.

For the enrollment for Other Language private or group courses you can get in touch with the EF Randstad team and e-mail the request to them. (Email can be found on the website).

• In the subscription form there is a space to indicate the  HRBP, this connects to local contact or should we consider a global contact?

Please fill in the contact details for your Local HRBP.

• Can I enroll myself (Manager)? 

Yes, you can enroll yourself, every Randstad employee can enroll themselves via the enrollment link.

• When will the language course be activated?

The Online Self-study courses can be activated at any time by clicking the sign-up link. The English Online Group General, English Online Private and Other Language Self-study will be activated every first Monday of the month. For Other Languages Group and Private there is no specific start date.

• Why start only every first Monday of the month for the English courses?

This is because of structure and administration reasons. Students will receive an activation email and a welcome email from Sharon Holstvoogd on the enrollment day. For Other Languages there is no specific start date.

• Every quarter you will recharge the requested licenses from that quarter?

Correct, each quarter the Frits Goldschmeding Academy will send the recharge to every opco that requested licenses or other services from EF for that quarter. So if for example there is a request for a Private Language course for a colleague in Q1. You will receive after Q1 the recharge for this course/license.

• Will you have contact with each country separately then for the reports?

Yes, we really want to be in touch locally with each country and discuss their specific needs and KPI’s.

• What are the prices of the courses?
