Outstanding university offers for EF Academy’s Class of 2020

In what can hardly be described as an ordinary year, EF Academy’s graduating seniors have obtained some of the strongest university offers in our school’s history.
Overall, 327 students graduated from our campuses in New York, Oxford and Torbay this year, obtaining their IB Diploma, US High School Diploma or A-Level qualifications. Across our three schools, students have received offers from 40 of the top 100 universities in the world according to the QS World University Rankings.
In our New York campus alone, 88 students have been accepted to the top 100 universities in the world – nearly 50% of the Class of 2020.
Our Oxford campus achieved a new record this year, with students receiving offers from all 20 of the UK’s top 20 universities according to The Times Good University Guide 2020 and the Complete University Guide. Not only that, but the school received multiple offers from prestigious universities such as Imperial College London (3 offers), King’s College London (19), the University of Edinburgh (7), University College London (9) and the University of Manchester (11).
Among our students’ outstanding offers are a conditional offer from the University of Oxford for Biochemistry and an unconditional offer from the University of Cambridge for Mathematics. EF Academy Oxford also received three offers to study Medicine – a highly competitive subject in the UK.
It has been a strong year for our artists, too, with 20 students receiving offers from universities within the top 36 for Art & Design (QS) – including Parsons School of Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and University of the Arts London.
In regards to scholarships, New York’s senior class has been awarded a total of $1.14 million in scholarship money annually.

Thorough university preparation is a fundamental element of our mission at EF Academy. As a result, we regularly place graduates at some of the best universities in the world.
Our students benefit from exceptional university guidance from experienced counselors with deep knowledge and insight into what universities look for in applicants. We supplement the IB Diploma, US High School Diploma and A-Level curricula with a university guidance program that includes application and interview preparation, one-to-one application coaching and over 150 university visits throughout the year. In addition, our SAT test preparation sessions help our students in New York excel in this all-important American university admissions criterion.
