Выбор правильного квантификатора
При ответе на вопросы How much? и How many? определённые квантификаторы используются с исчисляемыми существительными (friends, cups, people), другие с неисчисляемыми существительными (sugar, tea, money), остальные с другими видами существительных.

Употребление "Much" и "Many"
Much и many в основном используются в вопросительных и отрицательных предложениях. Также они используются в утвердительных и отрицательных предложениях в сочетании с too и so. Обратите внимание: слово many может быть использовано самостоятельно в утвердительных предложениях, тогда как слово much не может. Much может быть заменено в утвердительных предложениях a lot of илиlots of(эти выражения так же может заменять many).
