After a successful career of more than 12 years in the private sector working with multinationals in Colombia and the US, she made a career shift and moved to the Higher-Education sector.

She is now the Chief Administrative Officer for Academic Affairs for the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University.

Juan Mullerat

Plusurbia Design, Founder

is the Founder of Plusurbia Design – a firm that specializes in land planning and city building. As a designer with over 25 years of experience, Mullerat has received numerous awards for his projects around the world, including the APA’s 2017 National Economic Planning Award for the Wynwood Master Plan and the 2015 Kinpan Design Award for Songhua Lake Design, in 2013 he was honored as the Urban Designer of the Year by the AIA in Miami.

Mullerat has designed buildings, neighborhoods and cities in five continents. His firm currently is dedicated to solving transportation, revitalization and housing issues. Mullerat lecturing on healthy cities, urban revitalization and place making at the University of Miami and several other forums.

Megan Riley

Director of External Affairs, The Bass Museum

Megan Riley has been immersed in the art world since the early 90’s having launched her career by co-founding a contemporary art space; Gallery A in Chicago. Megan also served as Secretary on the Chicago Art Dealers Association during that time. Making the move to New York a decade later; Megan landed at ARTFORUM magazine.

Megan moved to Miami Beach to helm the position of Director of External Affairs at the Bass Museum of Art in South Beach. In this role Megan provides strategic leadership, oversight, implementation and management of integrated development and communication initiatives. Additionally, she manages institutional advancement and externally focused efforts of the museum, including individual and corporate giving, marketing, public relations and community affairs.

Jimmy Morales

City Manager, Miami Beach

Jimmy L. Morales was appointed as city manager for the City of Miami Beach effective April 1, 2013.Although an accomplished attorney, Morales is most recognized for his career in public service. Morales served on the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners for eight years.

He was elected in October 1996 and re-elected to a second term in 2000, during which he represented District 7, including South Miami, Key Biscayne, portions of Miami, Coral Gables and Pinecrest municipalities. In 2004, Morales ran for Mayor of Miami-Dade County, but was defeated in the runoff by Carlos Alvarez.
